All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Josie McGraw Kowitz - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal April 21, 1999 Funeral services for Mrs. Josie McGraw Kowitz, 89, were held Wednesday, April 21, 1999 in the chapel of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with Rev. Ebie Xxxxxee and Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under direction of Crothers-Glenwood funeral home. Mrs. Kowitz died Sunday, April 18 in the Parkview Medical Center in Vicksburg after a lengthy illness. She was born in Waterproof, La., and had lived in Madison Parish for 79 years. She was a housewife and a member of Mound Baptist Church. Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Jackie Kowitz. Tallulah: one grandson, Xxxmy Kowitz, Tallulah; two nephews and wives, Ralph and Xxxxy Reed, Tallulah and Bill and Dale Woods, Kaufman, Texas: and one niece, Elizabeth Reed, Shreveport. Pallbearers were Allen Mayeaux, Jim Neuroth, Wayne Neuroth, James Still, Neil Wise, Martin Verhagen and Marvin Worley. Honorary pallbearers were Ray Case and Ed Yerger.
