All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Mary Jobe Kirkland - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, August 6, 1981 Services for Mrs. Mary Jobe Kirkland were at 2 p.m. the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home in Tallulah with the Rev. Xxxx Cook officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under direction of Crothers Funeral Home Tallulah. Mrs. Kirkland died Wednesday in Xxxxrg Center Hospital in Miss., after a long illness. She was a native of Claiborne County and had been a Madison Parish resident for 40 years. She was a retired nurse and a member of he Church of God of Prophesy. Survivors include two sons, Roy Melvin Kirkland of Tacoma, Wash., and Benson Kirkland of Charleston, S.C., a daughter, Mrs. Hazel McClintock of Jackson, Miss., two brothers, Jimmy Jobe and Charlie Jobe, both of Tallulah; a sister, Mrs. Flora Fondren of Tallulah; three step-sisters, Mrs. Florence Williams of Transylvania, Mrs. Nellie Roser of Metairie, and Mrs. Nannie Sanderson of Vicksburg; and nine grandchildren. Pallbearers were Albert Fondren, Bernie Jobe, George Wilhite, Richard Marshall, Buford White, and Sonny Broadway.
