King Funeral services for William Henry King, 58, who died unexpectedly Monday morning in New Orleans where he was attending the Louisiana State School Board Convention being held in New Orleans. Services were conducted at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Hurt officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. King was vice president of the Madison Parish School Board and manager of Timberlane Plantation. He was a Mason. He and Mrs. King were in New Orleans together at the time of his death. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Jewel Brown King of Tallulah; a son, Lt. William Henry King, Jr., of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; two daughters, Mrs. Edward Eiland of New Orleans and Miss Charlynne King, a student at Louisiana Tech in Ruston; his father, Claude King of Sondheimer; two brothers, Claude King and Pete King, both of Tallulah; two sisters; Mrs. Arnold Shields of Tallulah and Mrs. John Schnieders of Alhambra, California; two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Robert Gaumnitz, Russell Petersen, Charles Arneson, J. T. Fulton, Bruce Clark, John Earl Martin, Richard Duncan and James Duncan.
