All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Sam King - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Evening Post, August 24, 1942 FUNERAL SERVICES FOR SAM KING IN TALLULAH TODAY TALLULAH, La., Aug. 24 Funeral services for Sam King, 39 who died in a hospital in Shreveport, La. last Saturday will be held here this afternoon from the Baptist church at 3:30 o'clock with the Rev. Clarence Crow officiating. Pallbearers will be J. A. Beck and O. N. Wilds of St. Joseph, La., and Pat Patton, N. E. Howard, Ed Lott and Kirby Erwin of Tallulah. Mr. King was an auto mechanic, and resided here for a number of years. He had recently moved to St. Joseph. Deceased is survived by his wife, two daughters Joan Kink and Gloria Jean King, two sons Charles S. King, Jr., and Clyde Wayne King; four sisters Mrs. Florence Roberts and Mrs. Delia Frost of Monroe, La., Mrs. C. I. Bare of Walla Walla, Washington and Mrs. Cecil Maulding of Corpus Christi, Texas and his mother Mrs. Dices King of Monroe. Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
