All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Dan Allen Kifer, Madison Parish, Louisiana From Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home Tallulah, LA September 21, 2018 May 16, 1945 - September 20, 2018 A memorial service for Dan Allen “Danny” Kifer, age 73, will be held at First Baptist Church of Newellton on Sunday, September 23 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Larry Foster officiating. Visitation and fond memories will be shared from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service. Dan passed away on September 20, 2018 at River Region Hospital in Vicksburg, Mississippi, after a short illness. Dan was born on May 16, 1945. He was a native of Newellton, and a graduate of Newellton High School. He retired after 32 years as an oil field salesman, and returned to Louisiana in 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan Odell Kifer, Sr. and Marjorie Ruth Tillman Kifer. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sheryl Gaye Lee Kifer of Tallulah; two daughters, Dana Sloane Kifer Aple and her husband Eric, of Greenwood, Louisiana, Tara Odell Kifer Grdinich and her husband Steve, of Carrollton, Georgia; three granddaughters, Ragan Makenzie Aple, Caitlin Ann Grdinich, and Christin Nicole Grdinich. He is also survived by one brother, Nathan Odell “Sonny” Kifer, Jr., two sisters, Kathryn Lee Kifer Foster, and Mary Lynn Kifer McLaughlin; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no graveside service. Arrangements are being handled by Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah.
