All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Opal Joyce Kendrick, Madison Parish, Louisiana From Dickson Hereald, Dickson, TN August 31, 2018 Cumberland Furnace - Memorial services were held at the Water Street Church of Christ in Charlotte, Tn. on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 4:00 pm and will be held at the Homer Church of Christ in Homer, Louisiana on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Opal Joyce Kendrick, age 84, of Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee passed from this life on Monday, August 27, 2018 at her home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Water Street Church of Christ Missions Account (Water St. Church of Christ, P.O. Box 474, Charlotte, TN 37036). Joyce was born in Lake Providence, Louisiana the daughter of the late Woodrow and Cleo Deal. She was a member of the Water Street Church of Christ in Charlotte, TN. Prior to this she was a long-time member of the Arcadia Church of Christ in Arcadia, LA. Ms. Kendrick was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Kendrick; her son, Danny Hart; and her brother, Charles Deal. Survivors include her sons, Leon "Sonny" Hart and his wife, Kay Kay of Cumberland Furnace, TN and Steve Hart and his wife, Kristin, of Phoenix, AZ; her brother, Phillip Deal of Monroe, LA; her sisters, Sylvia Moore of Brandon, MS and Felicia Dodd of Austin, TX; step-sons, Gary Kendrick of Longmont, CO, Randy Kendrick of Minden, LA, Mark Kendrick of Sibley, LA; and Scotty Kendrick of Bastrop, LA; ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
