Richard McCoy Jordan, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. He was 80 years old. 

Richard was born in Mize, Mississippi to his parents, Willie Jordan and Hazel Hester Shaw. He spent 40 years in law enforcement and was very proud of coming to the Lord. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, baseball, and golf. Richard was very active in the Mississippi Boys and Girls Club through the Sheriffs Association. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Willie Jordan and Hazel Hester Shaw; stepfather, John Shaw; and sister, Francis Nevels. 

Richard is survived by his wife, Paige Tilden Jordan; sons, Richard Jordan, Jr., Chasin Acreman, and Christopher Acreman; daughters, Kay Jordan, Chastity Mathes, and Cerenity Acreman; sisters, Willa Dean West and Dianne Ward; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A visitation will be held at Southside Baptist Church on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 6-8 pm. Another visitation will take place at 11 am on Saturday, August 21, 2021 until the hour of service at noon. Reverend Greg Clemts will be officiating. Interment will take place in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah, LA following the funeral service. 

Pallbearers will be Drew Clemts, Chasin Acreman, Brandon Davidson, Travis Crimm, Jr. Anthony Ward and Mike Adcox.
