All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Mattie Vera Jones - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 13, 1975 Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Vera Jones of Tallulah were held Friday at the Chapel of Crothers Funeral Home the Rev. James Messer officiating. Mrs. Jones died Tuesday, March 4th at Madison Parish Hospital here after an illness. She was a native of Union Parish and had been a resident of Madison Parish for several years. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include five sons, Gaines and xxxx;, both of Miami, Fla., William Jones of Lake Charles, George Jones of Baton Rouge and Huey Jones of Tacoma. Wash., three daughters, Mrs. Silas Jordan of Ore City, Tex., Mrs. Pauline Johnson of El Paso, Tex., and Mrs. Juanita Jenkins of Tallulah; three brothers, Sam Taylor, Johnny Taylor and Curtis Taylor, al of Monroe; 31 grandchildren: and 25 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Red Anderson, Beecker Lowry, Charlie Allen. Richard Marshall, Dewey Favors and Tommy Jobe.
