Jones - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal November 19, 1965 Harvey Jones Dies Suddenly At His Home Wednesday Mr. Harvey J. Jones, well known jeweler of Tallulah, died suddenly at his home on Wednesday morning. Mrs. Jones was with him at the time. He was 72 years old. Mr. Jones was a Deacon in the First Baptist Church, where he has been active for many years. He was a Mason. A native of Crystal Springs, Miss., he came to Tallulah to make his home, some thirty five years ago. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mrs. Susie Brown Jones, two sons, Bernie Jones of Tallulah and Jack Jones of Fort Worth, Texas, and several grandchildren. Three sisters, Mrs. O. B. Harris and Miss Minnie Jones of Crystal Springs, and Mrs. W. R. Droke of Florence, Alabama. Funeral services will be at the First Baptist Church of Tallulah at 10 A. M. Friday (today) morning with the Rev. John S. Hurt and the Rev. J. H. Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Silver Cross Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fred Massey, Walter Jamison, Bill Stanton, E. B. Towne, Jr., J. W. Deason, Seth Bailey, Frank Letlow and Charles Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are the Board of Deacons of the First Baptist Church and the Men's Bible class.
