All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ George Bryant Jones - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, May 18, 1956 Local Resident's Brother Dies At Newellton Monday George Bryant Jones, 64, died at St. Charles Hospital, Newellton, Monday at 7:45 a. m., following a lingering illness. Bern in Hattiesburg, Miss., Mr. Jones spent most of his life in Mississippi, and moved to Louisiana about 15 years ago. Services under the direction of Gay Funeral Home of Lake Providence, were held Tuesday at the First Baptist Church here with Rev. Irvin Cheney, Jr., and Rev. Fulton McGraw of Newellton, officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Melton, Marzen Melton, M. L. Melton, Roy Brown, Floyd Brown, Jr., and Billy Ray Moffett. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lillie Furguson Jones, Newellton; five sisters, Mrs. J. B. Shoemaker, Ellisville, Miss., Mrs. W. B. Sanderson, Sr., Hattiesburg, Miss., Mrs. J. T. Pearcy, Tallulah, Mrs. J. T. Harper, Laurel, Miss., Mrs. William Prince, Collins, Miss.; one brother, R. I. Jones, Crossett, Ark.
