Jones - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 25, 1976 Burney E. Jones, 59, of Tallulah, died at Mercy Medical Center in Vicksburg after a brief illness. Funeral services were held Monday at the First Baptist Church of Tallulah with the Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Jones was a resident of Madison Parish for 45 years, a native of Brookhaven, Miss., a veteran of World War II, a member of the First Baptist Church of Tallulah, the Disabled Veteran (DAV), American Legion and the Masonic Lodge of Tallulah. Survivors include one brother, Jack J. Jones of Fort Worth, Tex. Pallbearers were Jeff Goza, Freddie Helton, J. W. Deason, Joe Reynolds, Robert Brown and M.A. Phillips.
