All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Gladys Johnson - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal December 4, 1996 Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Johnson, age 89, of Tallulah, were held Saturday, November 30th at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in Tallulah with Rev John Rushing officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Johnson died Wednesday, November 27, 1996 in the Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah after a brief illness. She was born in North Carolina, and had lived in Tallulah for over 50 years. She was a housewife and active member of the First Baptist Church, and Tallulah Garden Club. Mrs. Johnson loved her garden very much. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Earl H. Johnson. Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Martha Page Lawson and Rod Lawson of Houston, Texas; 2 grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Active Pallbearers were: Earl Gilbreath, Cordes Williamson, Lloyd T. Erwin, Ted Hutchinson, Leo Watson, David Hardy. Honorary Pallbearers were: Harvey Mounger Jim Folk, Lloyd Shelton, Fred Wyly, Glenn Boothe, Edgar Lancaster, Jr.
