C. Jervis Mrs. Alice Core Jervis, 86, died Tuesday night in the Madison Parish Hospital after a long illness. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a. m. Thursday at the Cupit-Young Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Bobby Brown officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Cupit-Young Funeral Home. Mrs. Jervis was a native of Covington, La., and had made her home here with a daughter, Mrs. Roy Dale, for a number of years. Other survivors are another daughter, Mrs. Leo Harpen, Hammond, La.; and a son, George Bennett of Holden, La.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Jervis was a member of the Baptist Church. Pallbearers were Tom Bradley, J. C. Byram, Bill Colligan, Bob Brown, W. W. Ziegler and E. H. Lancaster, Jr.
