All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ John A. “Uncle Buck” Jennings - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post January 4, 2009 TALLULAH — John A. “Uncle Buck” Jennings died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at Glenwood Hospital in West Monroe. He was 80. Mr. Jennings, a native of Gibsland, La., lived in Tallulah for about 25 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from the BellSouth Telephone Co. Mr. Jennings was of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest A. Jennings and Minnie B. Carr Jennings. He is survived by a stepdaughter, Linda Monsour of Vicksburg; an uncle, Charles J. Carr of Atlanta; and an aunt, Elizabeth Teekell of Tampa, Fla. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah.
