James - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal September 11, 1996 Services for Gary A. James were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 5, 1996 at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel in Tallulah with the Rev Lillard Bevill officiating. Burial followed at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah. James died Saturday, August 31, 1996 at his home in Baker. He was 58. He was born in Mississippi and had lived in the Baton Rouge area for 28 years. He was a retired Baton Rouge police officer and a private detective. He is survived by his mother Euanita S. James of Tallulah; three daughters, Debbie Dent Sigh of Vicksburg, Helda Lowry Flowers of Jackson, Miss. and Katrina James of Baton Rouge; one son, Gary A. James Jr. of Baton Rouge; one brother, Walter T. 'Tommy" James of Tallulah; and five grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Magnolia Speech School, 733 Flag Chapel Road, Jackson, Miss. 39209.
