Isbell - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal February 24, 1999 Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia R. Isbell, age 64, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at First Baptist Church of Tallulah with the Revs. John Rushing and Pat Lofton officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery of Tallulah. Mrs. Isbell died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, at her residence in Tallulah after a lengthy illness. She was born in Wattensaw, Ark., and had resided in Tallulah for 37 years. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, where she was director of Women's Missionary Union. Survivors include her husband of 46 years Lebert Isbell of Tallulah; two sons, Stan Isbell and Ricky Isbell, both of Tallulah: two daughters, Donna Larson of Calhoun, La., and Susan Busby of Monroe, La.: one sister, Rubye Faye Ackley of Nashville. Ark.: her mother, Hazel Thomas of Calhoun. La.; six grandchildren: four great-grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were deacons of First Baptist Church of Tallulah. Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
