Michael Horn Hutchings - Madison Parish, Louisiana

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Services celebrating the life of Michael Horn Hutchings will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Reverend Andy Harris, of Central Assembly of God in Haughton, will officiate. The family will receive from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.

Michael was born June 28, 1956 in Fort Hood, TX and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 20, 2012, after a tragic accident in Amarillo, TX.

Michael lives on because of his selfless gift of eyes, bone and skin to Life Gift of Texas thereby able to help 65 to 100 people in need.

He is survived by his parents, Hal and Dona Horn Hutchings; his sister, Susan Hutchings Holtzclaw and husband, Lee; his brother, Chess Hutchings and wife, Kim; his children, Anna, Madison, Julie and Maury Hutchings; a grandson, Parker; and his nieces, LeAnna, Chelsea and Allie.

Honoring Michael as pallbearers will be Chess Hutchings, Lee Holtzclaw, Chase Bailey, Larry Flake, M.D., Glynn David Grant and Zane Nipper.

Honoring him as honorary pallbearers will be Elton Richey, Jr. and Travis Holtzclaw.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Tallulah, 700 Bayou Drive, Tallulah, LA 71282.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to those that came to Michael's aid at the scene of his accident in Amarillo, TX, the Randall County Sheriff's Department, Texas DPS State Troopers and his coworkers at Lone Star Milk in Hereford, TX.

Michael was the happiest he had ever been in his life. We would like to say special "thanks" to the love of his life, Janice Cooper. We, his family, feel so at peace that he was so happy in his final days.
