All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Sallie Gaar Hughes - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 1, 1984 Services for Mrs. Sallie Gaar Hughes, 92, were at 1:30 p.m. at Crothers Funeral Home with the Rev. David Lawrence officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah. Mrs. Hughes died Wednesday at Madison Parish Hospital after an illness. She was a Flora, Miss., native and was a longtime Tallulah resident. She worked as a housewife and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tallulah. Survivors include two sons, Jack Hughes of Greenwood, Miss., and Willard Hughes of Dallas; a daughter, Mrs. Jack Byrom of Marshfield, Mo.; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and two step great-grandchildren
