John Wayne Huckabay
(March 14, 1941 - December 13, 2016)

 

Mr. John Huckabay age 75 of Log Cabin Rd. Blairsville passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home on Tuesday Dec. 13, 2016 following an extended illness. Mr. Huckabay was born on March 14, 1941 in Tallulah, LA., the son of the late Lara Elmer Huckabay and the late Lillian Miller Huckabay. He was a veteran of the US Army.

 

John He was a member of the VFW. John loved woodworking, fishing and hunting. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. John was of the Baptist faith.

 

Surviving Mr. Huckabay are his loving wife and best friend, Barbara Ann Burk Huckabay of Blairsville, five children, Michael and Louvine Williamson of Port Orange, FL., Pamela Lynn and Lawrence Thompson of El Paso, TX., Kari and Bryan Ballard of Gainesville, TX., Lenora Patterson of Duncan, OK., David Scott Williamson of Orlando, FL., three sisters, Shirley and Forest Gene Mitchell of Shreveport, LA., Deloris and John Bowling of NC., Linda Long of Shreveport, LA., grandchildren, Aaron Scott Huckabay, Jacquelyn Nyberg, Seth, Dylan and Cody Patterson, Shelby Redman, Amber Williamson, Natalie Corley and Tyler Ballard, many other relatives and friends also survive.

 

No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Blairsville in John’s memory.
