All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Benjamin Howard Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal May 26, 1950 Benjamin Howard Rites Held Here Wednesday Morning Funeral services for Mr. Benjamin Howard, who drowned Sunday in the Yazoo Canal, above Vicksburg, Miss., in Warren County, were held here Wednesday morning. He was 74 years of age. At the time of his death he was engaged in commercial fishing, and prior to that time was a saw filer, having been employed by the Chicago Mill & Lumber Co, of Tallulah until several years ago. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning at 10:30 at the Chapel of Crothers Funeral Home, with the Rev. Earl Wiggins, pastor of the Tallulah Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross cemetery. He is survived by three nieces, Mrs. W. M. Allen, of Tallulah; Mrs. A. D. Shows, of Monroe, and Mrs. J. W. Barrett, of Delhi; one nephew, Oliver Howard of Leesville, La.
