All rights reserved. ******************************************************************************************** Calvin Hopper - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Jackson Clarion-Ledger January 11, 2017 Calvin Hopper, 91, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at St. Catherine's Village in Madison. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at St. Francis Assisi Church, 4000 W Tidewater Ln, Madison, MS 39110, from 1:30 to 2:00 PM with funeral services beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. Mr. Hopper was born on June 1, 1925 in Tallulah, LA to the late Calvin A. and Prelacy Smith Hopper. He served his country in the United States Army in Berlin, Germany during WWII and continued to serve in the National Guard for 12 years. He attended LSU and later graduated from Mississippi College with a Law Degree. He then worked for many years for the US Dept. of Housing. He loved to attend many Catholic churches including St. Richards and St. Peters. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Federal Bar Association. Mr. Hopper is preceded in death by his wife, Lena Hopper; parents; and siblings, Cramer, Rebecca, and Drusilla. He is survived by 10 nieces and nephews.
