Hopkins died Saturday, April 12, 2003, at Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah. She was 86. Mrs. Hopkins was born in Leake County and had lived in Tallulah for the past 75 years. She was a homemaker and member of Parkview Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Melvin Hopkins and Felix Irvin Hopkins, both of Tallulah; three daughters, Lynell Laird of Tallulah, Kayren Brown of Monroe and Joye Antinori of Hawthorne, Calif.; two sisters, Jean Gibbs of Lake, Miss., and Katherine Massey of Newton, Miss.; and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parkview Baptist Church with the Rev. Cletus Moak and the Rev. Marty Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
