Holt Succumbs At Age 81 Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Ward Holt, 81, were held at 10 a. m. Wednesday at Trinity Episcopal Church with Rev. Joseph Harrison officiating. Burial followed in Providence Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Home. Mrs. Holt died at the Madison Parish Hospital early Xxxxxxx morning after a short illness. A native of Marvell, Ark., she had lived in Madison Parish for 75 years. She was among the oldest members Tallulah Book Club, which she helped organize. The Book Club building was built during one of her many terms as president. "Miss Edna", as she was affectionately known to her many friends, was also a loyal member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, The Trinity Guild of the church, the Madison Parish Garden Club and the Eastern Star. Survivors include two sons, Harry L. Holt, of Tallulah and Meredith Holt of Lake Charles; one daughter, Mrs. C. C. Adams of Tallulah; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Edward Eiland, Shields Bray, Walter Scott, Carroll Regan, Calvin Adams and William Adams.
