N. Holloway Funeral services for William Norris Holloway, who was found dead last Friday morning in his apartment was held Sunday at 2 P. M. in the Chapel Room of Cupit-Young Funeral Home, with the Rev. Clark Bell officiating. Burial followed in the Lake Providence Cemetery under the direction of Cupit-Young Funeral Home. According to Dr. George Webb, corner, he died of accidental asphyxiation and ruled his death accidental. According to reports the body was found around 10 a. m. by a laundry man, lying at bedside, the mattress already consumed by fire. Holloway's face, shoulders and arms were blistered and it was presumed that he started a fire while smoking in bed. A disabled World War II veteran, Holloway lived alone in an apartment on Mulberry Street. Survivors include his father, S. E. Holloway, Monroe; three sisters, Mrs. E. M. Rice, Natchitoches, Mrs. R. L. Shaw, New Orleans, and Mrs. Evelyn Deckleman, Tallulah; and two brothers, S. E. Holoway, Jr., Beaumont, Texas, and Charles Holloway, Corpus Christie, Texas. Pallbearers were Wallace Luckett, Ross Graves, E. H. Fisher, Bill Deckleman, R. R. Mitchell, and Thomas Smith.
