TALLULAH - James Edwin Hoffman died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, at Louisiana State University-Monroe 
Medical Center. He was 47.

Mr. Hoffman was born in Delhi and lived in Tallulah most of his life. He was a general 
contractor and a member of the Pentecostal faith.

Mr. Hoffman is survived by two daughters, Jacoba Marie Hoffman of West Monroe and Savannah 
Jena Ard of Tallulah; his mother, Frances G. Hoffman of Tallulah; three sisters, Virginia 
Byrd of Gilbert, La., Bobbie Wooten of Tallulah and Claudette Johnson of Crowville, La.; 
and several nieces and nephews.

Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah with the Revs. DeWayne W
hittington and Greg Nichols officiating. 

Pallbearers were Joel Hoffman, Richard Hoffman, Larry Ghrigsby and Jessie Brewer.
