All rights reserved. *********************************************************************************************** Richard Glenn Hodge - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe News-Star June 12, 1973 TALLULAH — Funeral services for Richard Glenn Hodge, 12, the son of Billy Hodge of Tallulah and Mrs. Francis Hodge of Delta, were scheduled for 4 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church of Tallulah with the Revs. Crawford Williams and Jimmy Peoples officiating. Burial was to be at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under direction of Crothers Funeral Home here. The boy drowned Sunday while wading in the Mississippi River near Delta. He was a native and lifelong resident of Madison Parish, a sixth-grade student at Thomstown School and a member of Berachah Baptist Church in Vicksburg, Miss. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include one brother, Billy Ray Hodge of Delta; one sister, Jerry Ann Hodge of Delta; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. N. G. Hankins of Tallulah; paternal grandparents, E. J. Hodge of Delta and Mrs. E. J. Hodge of Tallulah. Pallbearers were to be David Kinnebrew, LeVay Crawley, Kimble Holloway, Reid Cummings, Bob Tucker and Bill Travis. Honorary pallbearers were to be the Granada Farms Baseball Team.
