Hinds - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal May 29, 1936 Allen E. Hinds, Long Resident Of Parish, Dies Allen E. Hinds, 82, a lifelong resident of Madison parish, died here last Thursday at the home of his daughter. For many years he was engaged in the cattle business in the western part of the parish and at one time was member of the Madison Parish Police Jury. Funeral services were held from the Williams Funeral Chapel here Friday afternoon at four o'clock with the Rev. L. A. Materne, pastor of the Tallulah Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was in the Silver Cross cemetery. Mr. Hinds is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George Townsend of Tallulah, and Mrs. Tom Jefferson of Greenville, Miss. Pallbearers were W. D. Ziegler, W. S. Holmes, E. A. Beers, J. H. Devine, Allen Price, Will Price, S. B. Bettis and A. J. Sevier.
