Betty Sue Sherwin Hightower, 74, a homemaker, died Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at a local hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

 

Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter and St. Paul Episcopal Church in Arlington, where she was the founding member of the Daughters of the King.

 

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Memorial Fund of St. Peter and St. Paul Episcopal Church, 3900 Morris Lane, Arlington, Texas 76016.

 

Sue was born Oct. 29, 1931, in Tallulah, La., the only child of Lavenia Cason Sherwin and Thomas Albert Sherwin Jr. She was a devoted hospice worker for several years. Sue was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Charnell Hightower Miller.

 

Survivors: Devoted husband of 56 years, Bill Hightower; son, the Rev. Thomas Edward Hightower and wife, Meredith; grandchildren, Elizabeth Kimbell Hightower, Thomas Forrest Hightower and Brian Cason Pence; great-grandson, Jacob Cason Pence; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Fuller and husband, Hal; nephews, Mitch and Randy Coleman; son-in-law, Jerry Wayne Miller; and devoted friends, Barb and Andy Patel.
