All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Shirley Higgins - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal August 10, 1972 Mrs. Higgins Buried Here Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Higgins, 67, of Fort Worth, Tex., were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Crothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers. Mrs. Higgins died Saturday in Fort Worth after an apparent heart attack. A member of the Baptist Church, Mrs. Higgins was a resident of Tallulah prior to moving to Ft. Worth. Survivors include her husband of Ft. Worth, three sons, James Carter of San Diego, Cal., Jerry Carter of Burleson, Tex., and Lee Higgins of Ft. Worth; one sister, Mrs. Delois Harris of Ft. Worth; one brother, Arthur M. McCrain of Atlantic City. N. J. and four grandchildren. Pallbearers were Odell Sullivan, Alvin Sullivan, Joe Sullivan, Dalton Mobley, R. L. Shumate and Dan Moore.
