All rights reserved. *********************************************************************************************** Frank Hewes - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Madison Journal April 25, 1941 Frank Hewes Dies; Buried In Gulfport Frank Hewes, of Orkney plantation, died Tuesday morning in Vicksburg at the age of 72 years. Mr. Hewes, twin brother of Will Hewes, president of the Madison Parish Police Jury, was born in Gulfport, Mississippi, but moved here at the age of 27. He spent the rest of his life in and around Tallulah. Mr. Hewes was buried near his birthplace in Gulfport, Wednesday morning, the funeral taking place from the train bearing his body from Vicksburg. He is survived by four brothers: Will, of Tallulah; George, of Jackson, Miss.; Finnley B. of Gulfport; and several sisters.
