All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Bertha Belle Helton - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, February 22, 1958 Funeral Services For Mrs. Helton Held Saturday Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Belle Helton, who died at her home of a heart attack, were held Saturday morning at 10 a. m,. She was 84. Services were held from the Methodist Church with the Rev. W. F. Mayo officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Born in Terre Haute, Indiana, Mrs. Helton had lived in Tallulah since 1908. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She leaves two sons, Arthur Butcher of Wapato, Wash., and Fred Helton of Tallulah; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Edwards of Lorman, Miss., four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Shannon of Terre Haute, Ind. Pallbearers were Jim Sevier, William Wallace Ziegler, Rupert Harmon, J. C. Byram, George Speed and Jeff Goza. Honorary pallbearers were C. E. Hester, I. Rosenzweig, A. J. Boswell, Sam Vilardo, Harry Vilardo, Jack Abroms, T. A. Bilbo, E. H. Lancaster and Mrs. Bessie Lanehart.
