Hedgepeth - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe News-Star February 15, 1984 George D. Hedgepeth, 96, died Monday in Lincoln General Hospital following a lengthy illness. Services were to be at 2 p.m. today at St. Rest Baptist Church near Ruston. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. A Lincoln Parish native, Mr. Hedgepeth was a member of St. Rest Baptist Church. He was a retired railroad engineer, World War I veteran and a member of the American Legion. Survivors include three sisters, Alice H. Wise and Mattie H. Gipson, both of Ruston, and Daisy H. Hulls of Newellton; and several nieces and nephews.
