Hatchell - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, November 21, 1975 Mrs. Ella C. Hatchell, 101 years old, died Tuesday, November 18, at the St. Francis Hospital in Monroe. Mrs. Hatchell was born in Meadville, Miss on February 13, 1874 and moved to Louisiana in 1918. Her family resided in Madison Parish until the mid 1920's moving to Tallulah. She has resided at the St. Joseph's Home in Monroe since the death of her husband in 1944. Funeral services for Mrs. Hatchell were held Wednesday, November 19, in the Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial was in the Silver Cross Cemetery. Survivors include two sons, C.A. Hatchell of Columbia, Miss. and W. R. Hatchell of Monroe; also three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Dr. Russell Rigby of Shreveport, W. L. Yancey of Rayville, Clay Crawford, C. E. Walker, R. E. Brown and H.W. Massey of Tallulah.
