Harvey - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal October 1, 1970 Residents' father dies, rites held Tuesday LAKE PROVIDENCE-Luther W. Harvey, 84, of Transylvania, died Sunday night at his residence after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Lake Providence with the Rev George York officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery at Tallulah, under the direction of First National Funeral Home of lake Providence. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Emily Harvey of Transylvania; five sons, Herman D. Harvey and David E. Harvey, both of Lake Providence, William A. Harvey. Albert M. Harvey and Robert L. Harvey, all of Tallulah; two daughters, Mrs. John J. House of Lake Providence, and Mrs. L. M. Neal of Jackson, Miss.; one brother, Jimmy Harvey of Topeka, Kan.; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Luther Harvey, William Harvey, Bruce Harvey, David Harvey Jr., Mike Harvey and Billy Ray Costello.
