All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************* Elsie Nell Martin Harris - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Madison Journal, July 2011 Elsie Nell Martin Harris and was raised in Louisiana, passed away on July 9. She was born on March 5, 1927 and was raised in Louisiana. She graduated from Tallulah High School and Northwestern State College in Natchitoches, Louisiana in 1947. Elsie was an avid reader and loved to travel. She was active in politics and as a volunteer in many organizations including Meals on Wheels, Dallas Museum of Art, AL-Anon Family Groups of Dallas, Salvation Army Auxiliary and others. She had worked at Baylor Hospital in Dallas in her early years, and along with her husband, Leon, owned and operated Hillcrest Office Supply in Dallas. She was a faithful servant in her love for the Lord, her family and her friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Harris; her parents Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Martin, and her brother James. She is survived by her brother, John Earl Martin; her sister Virginia; her children Mark A. Harris, Laurie and Russ Morgan, Martin Harris, Robert and Karen Harris; by her grandchildren Jason Harris, Maegan Harris, Rusty Morgan, Annette Morgan and many nieces and nephews.
