Harris - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe News-Star January 19, 1970 DELHI (Special) — Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda Harris, 78, of Waverly, La., will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the First National Funeral Home of Delhi, with Rev. J. D. Walters officiating. Burial will be in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of First National Funeral Home of Delhi. Mrs. Harris died Sunday night at her residence after a short illness. She is survived by five sons, W. A. Harris of Pioneer, La., Sidney Harris of Delhi, S. K. Harris of St. Joseph, Albert Harris of Baton Rouge and Elbert Harris of Tallulah; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Donahue [sic Donohue] of Elps [sic Epps], Mrs. Doris Feroben of Delhi and Mrs. Willie Wixon [sic Wixson] of Webb, Miss.; three brothers, Walter Shelton, Dennis Shelton, and Ben Shelton, all of Baton Rouge; 38 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.
