All rights reserved. ************************************************ Dorothy Harmon - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, March 23, 2005 TALLULAH - Dorothy Harmon died Monday, March 21, 2005, at University Medical Center in Jackson. She was 81. Born in Whittemore, Iowa, Mrs. Harmon had lived in Tallulah since 1930. She retired as postmaster from the Delta Post Office. She served in the Women's Marine Auxiliary Corps in World War II. She was a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church. She is survived by a son, James LaRue Harmon Jr. of New Orleans; one brother, Clement Dahlhauser of Tallulah; three sisters, Adeline Batchelor of Tallulah, Anita Hall of Alexandria and Gert Paulette of Mound; and nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Edward's Catholic Church with the Rev. Ferre D'Cruz officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home, with a Mass to follow at 7. Pallbearers will be John C. Watts Jr., Tilford Watts Jr., Bob Craft, Mark Franklin, Tommy Harmon, Ed Yerger, Bill Yerger Sr. and Johnny Hopkins.
