All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Sybil Leona Hall - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal June 21, 2007 Sybil Leona Hall was born December 8, 1944 in Tallulah to Leon and Georgia Hall. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. Richard Cannon Sr. of New Hope Baptist Church where she served as a choir member and attended Sunday school. She later united with New Light Baptist Church where she served on the Senior Usher Board, participated with Vacation Bible School and was an active member of the Mission Department. She enjoyed attending church and studying her Bible. Sybil attended Wright Elementary School, Madison Parish Training School and Reuben McCall High School where she played on the girls' basketball team. She attended Grambling State University. She spent the majority of her years in the place of her birth, Tallulah but spent the remaining three months of her life with her two sisters in Las Vegas, Nev. She went home to be with her Lord Sunday, June 10, 2007. She was preceded in death by her mother, Georgia Hall and nephew Rayfield Travis Jr. Sybil leaves behind to cherish her memories her father Leon Hall of Richmond, Calif.; two sons, Eric Leon Hall and his wife Undria of Dallas, Texas and Derick Dewayne Hall and his wife Udaya of Tallulah; six grandchildren, Markuise Jamal Hall of Monroe, Eryk Jordan Hall, Camden Alexander Hall, Morgan Chandler Hall, all of Dallas, Texas, Uderickka Hall and Jamauriya Hall, both of Tallulah; one cousin who functioned as a brother, Iree Jackson and his wife Thelma of Tallulah; two sisters, Faye L. Coleman and Irene Hall and her husband Paul, all of Las Vegas, Nev.; three aunts, Beulah Brown of Houston, Texas, Rosemary Tyler of Las Vegas, Nev. and Estella McDowell of Delhi; two nieces, Lenika Coleman of Las Vegas, Nev. and Melaine Coleman of Phoenix, Ariz.; one great nephew, Izaiah Caldwell and one great niece, Ziani Caldwell both of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a host of cousins and friends from La., Texas and Las Vegas, Nev. Sybil touched the lives of many and left each of us something to remember her by rather it be her laughter, her beautiful smile or maybe one of those great bless outs!! One thing for sure you will never forget it! As she would say, "Have a Blessed Day!"
