All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Grace Leeves Grimes - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, April 29, 1987 Services for Mrs. Grace Leeves Grimes, 64, were at 2 p.m. Friday at the Tallulah First Baptist Church with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial was in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home in Tallulah. Mrs. Grimes died Thursday, April 23 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe following a long illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Tallulah, a Worthy Grand Matron of Eastern Star, a member of the Order of Eastern Star for 37 years, a member of the Tallulah First Baptist Church, a homemaker, past president of Tallulah Book Club, member of the Federated Womens Club and a member of the Garden Club. Survivors include her husband, Claude W. Grimes Sr. of Tallulah; a son, Bill Grimes of Tyler, Tx.; one sister, Dr. Attie G. Leeves of Tallulah, and one grandson. Pallbearers were Judge Cliff Adams, Fred Wyly, E.A. Porter, Leonard Levy, Dr. Joseph Yerger and Johnny Gilfoil. Eastern Star Services were held Friday morning at the Crothers Funeral Home Chapel.
