Graves - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal October 29, 1964 Services Held On Tuesday For James A. Graves Funeral services for James A. Graves 76, who died at his residence early Monday after a long illness, were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Cupit-Young Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Hurt officiating. Burial was held in the Start Cemetery under the direction of Cupit-Young. Mr. Graves was a member of the Coax Baptist Church near Winnsboro. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Graves; a daughter, Mrs. A. L. Jones, Phoenix, Ariz.; two sons, Ross Graves, Tallulah and Eldred Graves, Fresno, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Edna Hale, Start; Mrs. J. E. Hale, Marion; Mrs. Minnie Ola Taunton, Monroe; Mrs. H. H. Hart, Transylvania; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jimmy Rogan, Frank Knox, Emmett Lancaster, Leon Hart, Jack Bowden and Emry Asher.
