F. Graves Funeral Held Saturday Afternoon Arthur Frederick Graves, 58-year-old resident of Madison Parish, died Friday, January 18th at a Vicksburg, Miss., hospital following a brief illness. A native of Minnesota, Mr. Graves was the last of a well-known homestead family. He moved to Madison Parish in 1918, and was operator of the Joan Plantation, five miles south of Tallulah, until the time of his death. He was a member of the Tallulah Methodist Church, member of the Board of Stewards, and served as Secretary of the Sunday School for approximately 25 years. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at four o'clock at the First Methodist church, with the pastor, Rev. A. A. McKnight, officiating. Burial followed under the director of Young's Funeral Home, in Silver Cross Cemetery. Pallbearers were Cliff Adams, Ed Palmby, Dick Alexander, Baxter McDonald, Jim Folk, Buddy Scott, J. E. Furr, Sr., and M. Gustafson. Honorary pallbearers were C. C. Adams, Jessie Anderson, H. B. Day, R. S. Burnside, Jr., H. P. Gaspard, Norman Gayle, D. C. Johnson, C. W .Kennedy, E. E. Williamson, J. R. Linton, Max McDonald, A. M. Stewart, J. C. Sherwin, George Speed, Roy Horsman, Barton Sevier, Trent Palmer, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mabel F. Graves; two sons, Robert N .Graves, Tallulah; Frank Graves, Bogalusa, La., and five grandchildren.
