Goss - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 13, 1988 Funeral services for Mrs. Mary R. Goss, 71, were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Goss died Thursday morning in the Madison Parish Hospital after a long illness. She was a native of Mississippi and had been a resident of Tallulah for the past 50 years. Mrs. Goss was a retired practical nurse, a home maker and a member of the Tallulah First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Curtis Goss of Tallulah; one son, John M. Goss of Tallulah: one daughter, Sylvia Franz of Littleton, Colo.; four sisters, Bessie Crosby, Verdee Willette and Flora Reid, all of Hattiesburg, Ms. and Doris Crosby of Seminary, Ms.; six granddaughters and one great-grandson. Pallbearers were Tommy Bishop. Malcolm Bishop, David Creed, Shorty Jackson, Glynn Averett and Bill Yerger.
