E. Goss interred here Funeral services were held at 11 a. m. Saturday for Charlie Evans Goss, 89, of Lafayette, at the First Baptist Church here. Burial was in Providence Memorial Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home here. Mr. Goss died Wednesday at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Lafayette after a long illness. He was a native of Lillie and had been a resident of Lafayette for the past three years. A farmer, he was active in civic and church affairs until his illness. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nancy Goss of Lafayette; one daughter, Mrs. A. J. Szabo of Lafayette; one son, Dallas J. Goss of San Angelo, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Lucy Goss of St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, Harrell Goss of Transylvania; nine grandchildren and six great - grandchildren. Pallbearers were Moss Christian, Clay Crawford, James Morse, Murray Washam, Charles Weeks and A. L. Harvey.
