All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Mildred Clark Gordy Madison Parish, LA From Tallulah Madison Journal May 7, 1954 Mrs. Lloyd Gordy Funeral Rites Held Wednesday Mrs. Mildred Clark Gordy, age 41, died at her home, 603 South Elm Street, early Tuesday morning following a long illness. Mrs. Gordy, a native of Pine Bluff, Ark., had lived in Tallulah for the past two years. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Irving Cheney, Jr., pastor, officiating. Interment was held in the Graceland Cemetery at Pine Bluff at 3:00 o'clock with Rev. W. B. Tatum, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Pine Bluff. Pallbearers were Paul Ozment, Jesse Johnson, Shy Anderson, S. F. Manley, C. W. Kennedy, R. C. Webb, John Simpson and Dick Norrell. Honorary pallbearers were W. B. Jennings, Dr. George Webb, Ralph Bloom, George Eggleston, I. Rosenzweig, D. D. Wood, B. J. Peters, Elmore Powell, "Doc" Simpson, J. B. Chattam, J. B. O'Shea, M. Gustafson, Mac Cagnolatti, Ilar Osborne and all friends of the family. Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Gordy, a daughter, Lynn, and a son, Lloyd, Jr., all of Tallulah; a sister, Mrs. Earl McAffee of Pine Bluff; three brothers, E. C. Clark, J. C. Clark and Herman Clark, all of Pine Bluff. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
