Gordy - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, November 8, 1989 Funeral services for Mr. A. L. Gordy, 67, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ramon Warren officiating. Graveside services and burial will be at 4 p.m. at the Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson, La. Mr. Gordy died Tuesday at his residence after a lengthy illness. Mr. Gordy was a native of Grayson and a resident of Tallulah for the past 44 years. He was a retired station agent for the Missouri Pacific Railroad, an Army veteran of World War II, a member of Scott-Nicols-Voak Post #100 of the American Legion and a Methodist. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Alice Gordy of Tallulah. Pallbearers will be Joe Reynolds, Richard Everett, Gary Jones, Kenny Doyle, Jimmy Waldrop and George Rogan. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. until time of service Thursday.
