All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Hizzie Lee Goings - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, September 7, 1978 The funeral of Hizzie Lee Goings, Mound Community, was held in the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah, with the Rev. Barney Holloway officiating. Burial was in the Silver Cross Cemetery here. Mr. Goings died Sunday at Mercy Regional Center in Vicksburg, Miss. of an apparent heart attack. He was a native of Mississippi and a Madison Parish resident for many years. He was a farmer, a school bus driver, and a member of the Mound Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lille Mae Goings of Mound; four sons, Ray Goings of Mound, Arnold Goings and Jerry Goings, all of Vicksburg, and Kenneth Goings of Tallulah; one daughter, Mrs. Patsy Townsend of Delta; one sister, Mrs. Josephine Edwards of Mound; and 14 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Leon Secrest, Clifton Thompson, C. H. Hodge, Robert Mathis, William Yerger Jr. and Rusty Hicks.
