All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Jessie Odom Glick - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal September 6, 1968 Rites Held For Former Resident Of Tallulah Mrs. Jessie Odom Glick, former resident of Tallulah, passed away Friday, August 30 at 3:00 a. m. in the Madison Parish Hospital. Mrs. Glick was born in Dennis Mills, Louisiana on August 25, 1896. She moved to Tallulah in 1924 and later married Perry A. Glick. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Tallulah and during the years she lived in Tallulah she was employed by The Yerger Oil Mill, The Madison National Bank and in the law office of Mason Spencer. In 1936, Mr. and Mrs. Glick moved to Tifton, Georgia, from there they went to Waco, Texas and were presently living in Brownsville, Texas where she was a member of the First Presbyterian church. Mrs. Glick is survived by her husband, Perry A. Glick of Brownsville, Texas, one daughter, Mrs. H. S. Provine of Tallulah; three sisters, Mrs. Della Kimberlin of Baton Rouge; Mrs. Homer Kemp of Denham Springs, Louisiana; Mrs. Jewell Stockwell of Denham Springs, Louisiana and four brothers; W. H. Odom of Denham Springs, Louisiana; Womack Odom of Denham Springs, Louisiana; Frank Odom of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and James Odom of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She leaves three granddaughters; Miss Dorothy Provine; Mrs. Frank Briggs and Miss Kay Provine. Services were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock at the Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clark Bell and Reverend Bobby Brown conducting the services. Interment was in Silver Cross Cemetery at Tallulah. Pallbearers were: M. A. Phillips Harry Placke, J. H. Bryant, Warren Patrick, Dave Callahan, R. D. Hayes, Salo Abrahm and C. B DeMoss.
