All rights reserved. *********************************************************************************************** Louise Jones Glass - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post December 13, 2013 TALLULAH, La. — Louise Jones Glass, age 64, of Tallulah, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 10, 2013, after a brief illness. Funeral services were today at First Baptist Church in Tallulah with Bro. John Rushing and Bro. Jason McGuffie officiating. Burial was at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mrs. Glass was the wife of George Miller Glass and the daughter of the late J.L. Jones and Althea Jones Allen. She was a lifelong resident of Tallulah and an active member of First Baptist Church of Tallulah where she enjoyed singing in the choir, working in the nursery and decorating the church for holidays and special events. Louise was a graduate of Tallulah High School and continued her education, earning an associate degree in accounting. She was a dedicated accountant at Tallulah Technical College for more than 20 years, and was the co-owner of Arrangements Limited in Tallulah. Family and friends were Louise’s passion and delight. Known as “Weezie,” she enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sporting events and cheering for her favorite teams, the LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints. She loved creating unique flower arrangements and spending time with her husband and best friend for 42 years, George. Besides her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her stepfather, Roy Lee Allen. She is survived by her husband, George Miller Glass of Tallulah, two daughters, Carmen Glass Rudd of Tallulah and Sharon Maxwell Hipp (Michael) of Mangham; one son, Todd Glass (Elizabeth) of Lake Charles; six grandchildren, Logan, Austin, Emily, Andrew, Laureen and Taylor; and one great-grandchild, Abram; two brothers, James Jones (Andrea) of Delta, La., and Billy Ray Jones of Boyd, Texas, and three sisters, Alice Carson of Sulphur, La., Mary Ann Vining (Odell) of Minden, La., and Edith Mitchell of Madison. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Nap Book, Dusty Butler, Donald Deweese, Tommy Dunning, Eric Givens and Keith Post. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Tallulah in honor of Weezie.
