All rights reserved. ********************************************************************************************* Mary Kate Gilfoil - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 15, 1924 A very sad death occurred at the Vicksburg Sanitarium on Monday afternoon at about Three o'clock when Miss Mary Kate Gilfoil age thirteen passed out of this life. Her death was very sudden, having been taken ill Wednesday and immediately going into double pneumonia. She is the third child of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Gilfoil of Omega. A wide circle of friends and relatives grieve for this child just blooming into her girlhood. She was beloved by her associates because of her happy friendliness. The funeral services were held Tuesday from the Catholic Church in Tallulah by Father DeVrent. The Journal joins the numerous friends of this grief-stricken family in their bereavement.
