All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Martha Anne Gilbert - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 26, 2000 Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Anne Gilbert, 71, of Tallulah, were held Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, in the First Baptist Church of Tallulah with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mrs. Gilbert died Saturday, Jan. 22, in the Olive Branch Senior Care Center after a lengthy illness. She was formerly employed as a clerical worker by the United States Department of Agriculture. She was a resident of Madison Parish for 57 years and a member of the First Baptist Church of Tallulah. Mrs. Gilbert was preceded in death by her son, Harvey Keith Gilbert; her parents: Hollis and Elsie Ervin; her sister: Beth Thomas; and her brother: Hollis Ervin, Jr. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Jack Gilbert, Tallulah; one son: Charles "Bugs" Gilbert and his wife, Carole, Port Gibson, Miss.; two daughters: Pamela Skeldon and her husband, Artie, Tallulah, and Deborah Gilbert, Tallulah; two brothers: Ira Hugh Ervin and Tommie Ervin, Tallulah; six grandchildren: three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and ne hews. Pallbearers were Jeff Thomas, Dalton Fortenberry, Bobby Todd, Ed Yerger, Stuart Moberley and Grady Humphries.
